Find Out How You Can Help
Behavioral Health Care Services at Brookhaven offer a full continuum of care including the Access Center, Inpatient Unit, Hospitalization Program, Outpatient Services and Psychiatric Home Health Care.

Access Center
The Access Center is Brookhaven's psychiatric emergency program which triages patients to the appropriate level of care throughout the Behavioral Health continuum. The Access Center is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can be utilized as a community resource providing information on Behavioral Health issues and services available for the community.

Inpatient
The Acute Care Inpatient Unit provides crisis stabilization, medication adjustment, and psychotherapeutic family and patient intervention. The treatment team develops an individualized plan of care, which includes discharge planning and referral for continuing treatment. Our professionals have the ability to treat medically complex geriatric and adult patients with a variety of psychiatric and behavioral problems including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety and panic disorders, manic-depressive illness and schizophrenia.

Outpatient Mental Health and Chemical Dependency Treatment
Outpatient Services, located in Patchogue and Shirley, provide mental health and chemical dependency treatment for children and adults. The programs offer individual, group and family psychotherapy, early recovery and relapse prevention.
